OH MY GOSH! This is hands down the BEST food in the valley…. And further. Every bite I took I said “mmmm”. Im pretty hard to make happy when it comes to food…
I even ordered delivery, it travelled over twenty minutes and still arrived hot. I haven’t even been able to get hot food from places only a few blocks from me!

Whenever I am in town for a day trip Garlic & Pepper is always where I stop for a meal. I am used to the gas station location but this new location is pretty great!
Anyways the food never disappoints. The Kimbap is perfect when you’re hungry but don’t need much.
We bought the bibimbap and spicy pork, the spice builds but not too much. Super fresh tasting too!
YUM! Food was delicious and quick. Portions are a good size. Great selection of snacks and grocery items that I haven’t seen anywhere else in the area.
Easy parking. And the folks who run the place are lovely.
I stop by whenever I am in Courtenay to grab a snack or meal and see what’s in stock. Highly recommend!

We have been operating our grocery store and eatery since 2019. Our business has been family run and operated from the beginning!
We specialize in homemade Korean food. We take great pride in following authentic recipes without compromise.
Our rice goes through a vigorous preparation process; our ingredients, whenever possible, are locally sourced.
